SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

Chambal is playing a key role in protecting and renewing arable land by promoting sustainable agriculture practices. It provides customized information and services to the farmers through its community outreach programmes. Uttam Bandhan, is Chambal’s trend-setting program that has been transforming farm practices and mind-sets of farmers in 12 states - Bihar, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. Chambal has also established two state-of-the-art agriculture development laboratories in Agra and Kota, where soil and water tests are conducted. In addition to these laboratories, the soil testing vans reaches to the farmlands deep into the rural area.
