SOIL HEALTH - BHOOMI
CFCL’s sustainable agriculture interventions revolve around three key pillars: building a healthy environment, economic profitability, and social & economic equity.
The company launched Bhoomi, one of the largest technology-based interventions to promote and manage soil health. It provides customised information and services to farmers in 10 states.
Additionally, it also runs six toll-free call centres to educate farmers. The call centres, Hello Uttam, helps farmers seek latest knowhow and guidance from experts.
Chambal has also established two state-of-the-art agriculture development laboratories in Agra and Gadepan, Kota. Guided by the ‘Swasth Dhara - Khet Hara’ (healthy soil, productive farm) these laboratories provide key information on SHM practices required.
To supplement its efforts, the company regularly organises training programmes aimed at enhancing farm productivity and farmer income.
